Transparency + Accountability
A pen in the hand of a wrong person will end up writing the destruction of many lives - but in the hands of those in love with transparency and accountability…well………..
A pen in the hand of a wrong person will end up writing the destruction of many lives - but in the hands of those in love with transparency and accountability…well, we know how far reaching the benefits are!
We can not shout for ‘transparency’ and not add ‘accountability’ to the ingredient unless we inadvertently want our shout-y words to come back to us like a boomerang.
Our lives are so linked and interwoven (like a never-can-be-broken-circle) that we can never escape accountability even if we try to manipulate it. Once the ball gets rolling, then all ‘hell has broken loose’ - hell for those that don’t want it.
The Government is (if not, then it should bloody-well be) held accountable by their citizens, whether they voted for them or not. Let us not forget Media writers, Police, and Justice are also citizens because they are Human Beings.
Governmental work requires transparency because people’s lives are at the end of their ‘ripple effect-like outcomes’.
Yes - some of those work requires high-level security clearance…that’s where balanced accountability comes in because our human nature or ego might sometimes forget that ‘truly vulnerable/defenceless lives’ will always be the most affected.
The above method can be applied to institutions (public or private), organisations, non-governmental departments et cetera…et cetera.
Now, do you understand why I wrote ‘A pen in the hand of the wrong person’.
